The fee is the same whether the fault takes ten minutes to find or ninety. It buys the visit and the diagnosis, not a guess from the doorway. When you approve the repair, the whole fee comes off the invoice.
Scope
What the visit includes
- Electrical and gas testing with a meter, on the appliance, in your kitchen.
- Pulling a built-in forward where the fault needs rear access.
- A door, hinge and seal check on anything with a heated cavity.
- Reading the model and serial plate so the parts quoted are the right ones.
- A written estimate covering parts, labour and lead time.
What it does not include
- Parts. Those are quoted separately, and never ordered before you agree.
- Gas line, ducting or electrical work behind the wall — that is a licensed trade of its own.
- Moving cabinetry or stone. If a panel has to come off, we say so first.
Estimates
Why nothing starts without a number
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour begins.
An estimate on a Viking repair has three lines that matter: the part, the labour, and how long the part takes to arrive. The third one is the one people are not told often enough, so we put it in writing with the other two.
If the honest answer is that the repair is not worth it, we will say that too, and you will still have a written diagnosis you can act on.

- A flat $129, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered and before any labour begins, so there is no open-ended bill.
- What is covered after the repair?
- Ninety days on our labour and three hundred and sixty-five days on the parts we supply. We fit genuine OEM parts.
- Do you fit genuine parts?
- Yes, genuine OEM parts and nothing else. The lead time on a part is quoted in writing alongside the price, because on built-in appliances it is usually the part that decides the schedule rather than the labour.
